ABOUT US:
Jude Murphy is a well respected carpenter, designer and artist. She
received her journeyman carpenter ticket from The Southern Alberta
Institute of Technology in 1997, although she has been working with
wood, building , art and design for over 20 years. Her exceptional
abilities to really listen to her clients needs as well as her notable
skill in conceptual design makes her a premier builder of kitchens and
custom cabinetry. Her work has been featured in design publications.
After years of being sought after to build custom cabinetry for other high end builders, Jude began Willowmoon Carpentry in 1997 and has never looked back. Jude also taught carpentry to women at The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology for several years, which lead to the creation of classes and workshops for women interested in learning basic home maintenance and carpentry skills and has grown over the years to be an integral part of Willowmoon Carpentry.
Over the years, Jude has been sought out to design and build dozens of unique custom stand alone furniture. They have ranged in style from post-modern to very classical, from shaker to artistically unique pieces, and of course those in Jude's own artistic pieces - The Willowmoon Collection, whose inspiration and execution is informed by all of the above and more.
